Camden Athletics Collection
Did you know that Rutgers–Camden sports teams used to be Pioneers before they became Scarlet Raptors in the 1990s? The Camden Athletics Collection is a newly established collection at the Paul Robeson Library that consists of athletic apparel and memorabilia related to Rutgers–Camden sports teams. This collection includes sports jerseys worn on the field (grass stains and all) from both Pioneers and Raptors eras.
Athletic apparel from this collection was photographed by graduate student Thomas DiGiovanni in the spring of 2026. Check out Thomas's project, Pinstripes and Polyester, which documents the shift from Pioneers to Scarlet Raptors through a careful analysis of baseball uniforms and yearbook photos from the 1990s.
