About the Project

The Digital Camden Archive is a collaboration between the Department of History, the Digital Studies Center, and the Paul Robeson Library. The materials were digitized by graduate students in Dr. Bayker’s Digital History course. Students created digital exhibits and virtual tours that showcase their favorite items and highlight various aspects of university and local history.

The majority of our materials come from Camden Special Collections at the Paul Robeson Library. A few supplementary materials have been added from Special Collections and University Archives at the Alexander Library in New Brunswick and from several local archives in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Each item in our catalog lists the archive and collection where the original item is held.

This website was built on the Omeka S platform. Student projects integrate a variety of additional tools from ArcGIS StoryMaps to TimelineJS.
