African American Genocide
Facts or Conspiracy?
Charles Loftland, a member of the Black Student Union, writes about how the United States government may be seeking ways to regulate the African American population. To ease strains on the government from larger economic and global geopolitical problems, Loftland argues that AIDS and crack cocaine were engineered by the American government to decrease the number of African Americans.
Guy Pascale satirically responds to Loftland's article in a Letter to the Editor. While Pascale does not directly respond to Loftland's writings, both students present two ways in which Black Americans have been targeted. I will present them parallel to one another since Pascale's examples are meant to mock Loftland's original article.
America has set the stage for genocide through its systematic catalytic involvement in political, economic and social institutions that directly affect the Black community. If this has been the norm for Black America for decades upon decades, situations will get worse at this rate.
Charles Loftland's analysis of the current racial problems in our society (Gleaner, November 7, 1990) did not deal deeply enough with the situation.
In the 1940's, the U.S. government funded research on syphilis infected African Americans. Forty African American males were diagnosed as having the disease and the government deliberately didn't treat them. They were sent back into their communities and spread the disease to others.
One is the blatant targeting of African-American youth in the McDonalds advertising campaign for the McRib sandwich. All commercials I have viewed dealing with this sandwich have exclusively had African-American actors in them.
Why did the government conduct this infamous experiment? Supposedly to track the progression of the disease. It shouldn't be ruled out that AIDS is bio-genetically engineered and deliberately spread through the Black community.
The conspiracy here, as anyone who has eaten this sandwich knows, is to give the target audience a case of McDiarrhea. Is this a conspiracy to turn African-Americans into a race of chronic liquid McDefecators?
Crack cocaine was not developed in the basement of a young drug dealer...This narcotic could have only been developed in laboratory conditions. With the strongest armed forces in the world, it is really odd that the drug trade has not been halted. While it is true that drugs have affected all segments of the population, it has affected mostly people of color.
Another point that Mr. Loftland forgot to address is the conspiracy against African-Americans in the recording industry. Although rap music is now acceptable, rap artists have been forced to make accommodations to the white-controlled industry. One cession is that rap artists are to wear heavy gold chains.
Name your poison. Drugs, disease or warfare. Approximately 40% of casualties and fatalities in Vietnam were African American males. A startling number considering they are only about 10% of the populace. What's going to happen in the Mid-East?
This is a conspiracy to induce youthful Africa Americans into copying their hero's attire thus putting great strain on their postures. Is this a conspiracy to turn African-Americans into a race of chronic slouchers?
[I]t is imperative that the right path is chosen or the world, just as it has in the past, will experience the destruction of an entire people.
Although Mr. Loftland is correct, he should analyze all the facts present before stating his theory.
