Archive
Welcome!
This is our website's digital archive, it includes many of the items showcased on our other pages and dozens more. It also includes further reading on the Ben Franklin Bridge. We have sourced these photographs from the Rutgers University - Camden Robeson Library Special Collections, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and Historic St. George's Museum and Archives. We would like to give them a special thanks.
Most of the photographs in this collection, specifically those featuring captions with white lettering at the bottom were taken by the official Delaware River Bridge Commission photogtapher, George A. Wonfor (1883-1949). Wonfor was the son of New York photographer George H. Wonfor, who died in a train crash on a bridge in Atlantic City, and worked at 318 Federal St. in Camden.
